Why, does anyone actually understand it’s your name?
I thought Festival was a vocal cryptography system.
Much better to make line 19
proc = subprocess.Popen([’cw’], stdin=subprocess.PIPE)
and get something understandable (apt-get install cw).
Why “each channel”? Can’t there be more than one language spoken in a single channel?
Much better to use something such as ‘mguesser’ or ‘createfp’ I’d say.

Hehe, quite fun.
Too bad it doesnt support french yet.
Tho french pronounced with english accent is quite fun. :D
Awesome, though as I have problems understanding simple English, understanding Dutch is impossible :P
Sorry, what does this do?
What evil has to do with this? o_O Anyway, you should be able to choose the Festival language for each channel. That needs some extra scripting?

for the irc beautifull development..
Steve, when you have this script activated, when someone says something with your name in it on IRC that sentence is spoken out loud.
How about using espeak?
espeak support multi-lingual including french with various male and female voice.
