Steady as a rock

…or so they say

TNT post? TNT lost!

TNT post sucks. Big time. They tried to deliver my Ubuntu CDs on wednesday, nov. 1st but I wasn’t home. So I called them and said “I’ll be home on friday, you can deliver them on friday”. What do they do? They attempt to deliver on thursday! So I call them again and explain the meaning of friday. New appointment: deliver it on tuesday; even though I am in the US, my fiancee will be home. After coming back from the US: NO cd’s. Instead, they contacted the CD making company about how I am unreachable (bullshit!). New appointment made: deliver either tuesday or thirsday. What do they do? Attempt to deliver on wednesday! Fucking idiots! So I call them and explain what tuesday or thirsday means. They promised to deliver today. But of course no package today, so I call them again and say that if they don’t deliver it tomorrow, I will file a theft report at the police.

That seemed to have helped. The voice of the person on the phone became a bit higher and more squeekish and he had very little to say except that he understood the misery and would do everything to get the package delivered. But please, please: if you want to send a package: go to dhl, ups or whoever. Avoid the losers of TNT lost at all cost!

To be continued…

Why not go to their depot and pick it up from them?

If only life were that easy. They don’t do that.

Just had such issues with DHL. Well, less dramatic of course.
They took more than 10 days to deliver, i was gone after 7 (was supposed to be a 2 days delivery), i checked my mailbox before going.. empty..
i come back 2 weeks later.. paper from DHL in the mailbox.. dated from the days i was there .. but obviously fake.. i go to the deposit area of my city.. of course the package has been sent back already.. since a week..
i call the senders.. they didn’t get the package yet.. they claim it to DHL and get it 2 days later.. sent it back, now i’m waiting to get it again ^^

oh also i received a postcard from july (yes we’re in november) with “Do not fold” and it is folded of course. but that is german post this time :D

DHL in Australia was about this inept when I was receiving stickers from system76.

First of all, they accepted a PO Box address for the delivery address, then didn’t bother to inform anyone for a week that PO Boxes were not compatible with their service, so my parcel stayed at the Sydney depot. Fine I understand why now, but a bit of communication would have been nice.

Then, once we got past that hurdle, twice they could not find my house (granted im in a funkily numbered area), so declared that I was not home. Neither occasion did they leave any evidence they had been.

Losers.

LOL, I sent a package to the US with TNT

In December 2006. It still isn’t there. So I filed a missing request with TNT in early January. Took ‘em a while to confirm that they received my ‘missing form’ so they sent back a confirmation at Jan 22nd. Now I started calling them about it.

Called at April 3rd: whee uhh sorry yeah this is taking a bit long, we’ll get on it, I’ll send a fax to the department that handles this (Huh? A *fax* ?) and they will call you back.

Called at April 5th: I still didn’t get a call back. “Uhh a call? We don’t see anything in the system on April 3rd. But we’ll correct that, you will be called back today or perhaps tomorrow!”.

Called at end of day on April 6th: “Yes we see in the system that you called on April 3rd (???), no, not on April 5th. Standard reply time on an inquiry is 5 business days so next week you should get a call back.

So I asked her what’s the address for a complaint. Also asked her for the address for a ‘geschillencommissie’ (for lack of the english word)

You can send a complaint to:
Postbus 99180
8900NA Leeuwarden

TNT Post Geschillencommissie:
Postbus 90600
2509LP Den Haag

Squeaky wheels get greased you know :)
